Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve network issues raised via the ticketing system, providing top-level support across WAN and LAN technologies.
- Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring continued availability and reliability across the global estate.
- Ensure the network meets required security standards and controls, with a strong focus on Layer 7 technologies.
- Work with third-party vendors to identify root cause analysis on support issues.
- Support the implementation of new technologies, contributing to both BAU and project initiatives including the ongoing Azure cloud migration programme.
- Produce clear support documentation and technical implementation plans.
Key Requirements:
- Comprehensive Cisco switching experience, including Nexus 3k and 9k environments.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
- In-depth experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewall technologies.
- HP Aruba wireless experience, including global deployments.
- SD-WAN experience, ideally with HP EdgeConnect devices.
- Solid VPN and MPLS network experience.
- CCNP, CCIE or equivalent knowledge.
- Comfortable working within structured change management processes in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and ExpressRoute, is advantageous.
