Warwickshire | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote | 5-Month Contract

VIQU is seeking a Senior Azure & Terraform Infrastructure Engineer to join a major enterprise customer in Warwickshire.
/n
This is a hands-on Azure Infrastructure engineering role, with Terraform and Azure experience being essential. You'll be responsible for delivering infrastructure transformation, automation and platform change across a predominantly Azure-based hybrid environment.
/n
We're looking for someone who can design, build and support Azure infrastructure using Terraform, while also being comfortable working across the wider hybrid environment.
/n
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

- Microsoft Azure – essential

- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code – essential

- Azure Networking – essential

- Azure Compute & Storage

- Entra ID / Azure Identity

- Azure Landing Zones / Azure platform architecture
/n
- Hybrid Azure / on-prem environments
/n
- VMware vSphere / ESXi
/n
- Windows Server & Active Directory
/n
- Supporting business-critical production environments
/n
/n
The Role
/n
You'll play a key role in the ongoing transformation and modernisation of the customer's hybrid infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
/n
You'll be expected to operate at both a technical and delivery level — getting hands-on with the technology while taking ownership of infrastructure changes and platform improvements.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Design, build and implement Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
/n
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform / IaC solutions.
/n
- Deliver Azure platform modernisation and Landing Zone migration.
/n
- Manage Azure networking, compute, storage, identity and security services.
/n
- Support and improve Azure/on-prem hybrid connectivity.
/n
- Lead infrastructure change across enterprise production environments.
/n
- Troubleshoot complex Azure and hybrid infrastructure issues.
/n
- Support VMware vSphere/ESXi and Windows Server environments where required.
/n
- Work with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams to deliver platform improvements.
/n
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues.
/n
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards and technical designs.
/n
/n
Candidates must be based in or near Warwickshire and able to work onsite 3 days per week.
/n
