VIQU have partnered with a managed service provider, who are looking to recruit a Professional Services Consultant to join their growing Projects and Professional Services team. The successful Professional Services Consultant will take technical ownership of customer projects, designing and implementing data protection, backup and disaster recovery solutions across both SMB and enterprise environments. This is a senior, customer-facing technical role requiring strong Professional Services delivery experience, with responsibility for taking solutions from design through to implementation and handover.

Key Responsibilities of the Professional Services Consultant:

  • Lead the technical delivery of SMB and enterprise projects.
  • Implement data protection, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Work with customers to successfully implement solution designs.
  • Produce High Level, Low Level and As-Built documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both basic and complex technical issues.
  • Escalate technical issues to vendor support and engineering teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers and internal teams.
  • Support Account Managers and Pre-Sales with technical requirements.
  • Administer platforms including Rubrik, Druva, Zerto and Commvault.
  • Work closely with customer, vendor and internal technical teams.

Key Requirements of the Professional Services Consultant:

  • Strong experience working within Professional Services delivery.
  • Experience implementing complex data protection solutions.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Knowledge of Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault or NetBackup.
  • Experience producing High Level and Low Level designs.
  • Experience working with detailed Statements of Work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and vendor escalation experience.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V and/or Nutanix environments.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and ISO 27001.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation skills would be advantageous.
