VIQU has partnered with a leading engineering organisation who are seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join their Assembly & Test team in Staffordshire. This Panel Wirer role is a hands-on, workshop-based position, focused on assembling and wiring control panels across complex industrial environments. As a Panel Wirer, you will work from schematics and specifications, ensuring high-quality builds while supporting production deadlines and quality processes. This Panel Wirer position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and confident working both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and wire electrical control panels using schematic drawings and specifications
- Complete assembly record cards to ensure full traceability
- Carry out mechanical assembly of cubicles, frameworks, and sub-assemblies
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and support rework when required
- Update issue logs and liaise directly with design engineers
- Support production bay leadership when required
- Work flexibly to meet project deadlines
- 3+ years' experience in electrical control panel wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to undergo SC Clearance
