Senior Hybrid Platform Engineer

Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote | Warwickshire | 5-Month Contract

VIQU is seeking an experienced Senior Hybrid Platform Engineer / Technical Lead to join a major enterprise customer in Warwickshire. The role is focused on a predominantly Azure-based hybrid platform (75% Azure / 25% on-prem), with strong emphasis on platform transformation, automation and production support.

We're looking for a technically hands-on engineer who can drive platform transformation, lead infrastructure change, and support business-critical production environments. This role requires strong Azure expertise alongside solid VMware and on-prem infrastructure experience, with Terraform playing a key role in platform automation.

Responsibilities
/n

- Lead the design and delivery of hybrid platform and infrastructure changes.
/n
- Drive Azure platform modernisation and Landing Zone migration.
/n
- Manage Azure compute, networking, storage, identity and security services.
/n
- Maintain Azure/on-prem hybrid connectivity.
/n
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
/n
- Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
/n
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
/n
- Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution and root cause analysis.
/n
- Work with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams on platform improvements.
/n
- Maintain technical documentation and platform standards.
/n

Essential Experience
/n
/n
- Strong enterprise Azure experience.
/n
- Hands-on Azure Networking, Compute, Storage, Entra ID and Security.
/n
- Strong Terraform/IaC experience.
/n
- VMware vSphere/ESXi administration.
/n
- Windows Server and Active Directory expertise.
/n
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and business-critical production environments.
/n
- Strong troubleshooting and technical leadership skills.
/n
/n
