VIQU are partnering with a leading organisation undergoing continued digital transformation across critical services, seeking a Network Infrastructure Lead to support the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of secure and resilient infrastructure environments. Working as part of a wider Digital Services team, this role will focus on network operations, infrastructure projects, and service improvements across a complex hybrid environment. This is a hands-on position combining BAU support and project delivery, with the opportunity to contribute to significant transformation initiatives supporting new and evolving sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert operational and technical support across enterprise network infrastructure services
- Manage, maintain, and improve network environments including switching, routing, wireless, and security platforms
- Support the transition from Cisco networking technologies to HP Aruba solutions, including implementation and optimisation
- Configure and maintain Fortinet firewalls, ensuring secure and compliant network connectivity
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents, completing root cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements
- Support network design, planning, testing, and implementation of infrastructure changes and projects
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable service delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital services
- Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle management, continuous improvement, and service optimisation initiatives
Key Experience Required:
- Proven experience working within a senior network infrastructure or network engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking environments across BAU and project settings
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and enterprise security technologies
- Experience supporting Cisco networking environments, with knowledge of HP Aruba technologies highly desirable
- Strong understanding of switching, routing, wireless networks, and network troubleshooting
- Experience working within hybrid infrastructure environments and supporting on-premise services
- Knowledge of IT service management processes, ideally within an ITIL-aligned environment
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and deliver effective resolutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience contributing to infrastructure projects, improvements, and technology transformation initiatives
