My client is delivering an extensive portfolio of cyber, IT, OT, and physical security projects into the business. You will be responsible the day to day running of the project office activities for the Cyber Security /Physical Security projects set by the direction of the Physical Security Programme Manager.
Experience of working in a project office or worked in a project delivery environment to carry out standard PMO tasks including:
- Coordinate the completion of the Weekly Highlight and ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinate the programme meetings, preparing agendas and taking actions.
- Ensure that PSG quorate sign off for plans where required
- Work with the Project and Programme Managers to provide portfolio level visibility of RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions)
- Support the Programme Manager with programme planning, milestone management and scope management
- Support the project teams with resource forecasting
- Support procurement activity with activities including but not limited to preparing for tender/mini competition, reviewing work orders, creating Direct Award Forms and Goods Receipting.
- Engage with key project stakeholders, to understand linkages and dependencies on other programmes and projects - manage and track these dependencies with other project managers.
- Engage with other PMO teams in the business in order to align PMO processes and identify business wide considerations
- Ensure that the Project Delivery Lifecycle is followed and that all reporting required is agreed with the Sponsor, Programme Managers and SME's before passing through the quality gate.
- Organise and run any meetings and workshops required as part of the project, document and track actions from these.
- Track benefits realisation against the cyber assessment framework
- Responsible for the programme mailbox and calendar.
- Take an active role in the Continuous Service Improvement delivered via the programme team - initiating ideas for improvement, gathering Stakeholder feedback and supporting the team in delivering changes effectively.
- Administer portfolio level SharePoint Access and Document Management.
Skills/Experience
- Experience of working in projects and programmes either in a project management or PMO role
- PRINCE2, PMI, MSP or similar qualified is desirable
- Must be highly IT and business literate, articulate and persuasive with good communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have the ability to communicate technical and strategic concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences in a clear manner
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and project tooling skills
- A strong customer / stakeholder focus is required coupled with strong inter-personal and stakeholder management skills
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
- DBS screening (in accordance with BS7858).
