Desktop Support Engineer – (Mac Focused)

We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with a strong Mac focus to join our customer's IT team in London on an initial 3-month contract.
/n
This is a great opportunity for a technically capable Desktop Support Engineer who has a good foundation in IT support, strong Mac experience and, importantly, excellent people skills.
/n
The Role
/n
You will provide day-to-day desktop support to approximately 150 users, acting as a key point of contact for IT support within the London office.
/n
Technical Environment
/n
The customer operates a predominantly Apple environment:
/n
/n
- 90% Mac / 10% Windows
/n
- macOS and Apple hardware
/n
- Microsoft Entra ID – desirable
/n
- Cisco – desirable
/n
- IT ticketing/service management systems
/n
- User access management
/n
- Hardware provisioning and support
/n
/n
The role will include:
/n
/n
- Providing day-to-day desktop support, with a strong focus on Mac/macOS
/n
- Managing and resolving tickets through the IT ticketing system
/n
- Providing face-to-face and walk-up support
/n
- Managing user access and permissions
/n
- Setting up new users and equipment
/n
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding
/n
- Preparing, configuring and troubleshooting laptops and other hardware
/n
- Dealing with general IT requests and user issues
/n
- Troubleshooting Mac and Windows devices
/n
- Maintaining accurate ticket updates and documentation
/n
- Providing a friendly, professional and responsive service to users
/n
- Supporting senior stakeholders and VIP users when required
/n
