AI Project Manager Southampton – Hybrid (3DPW in office) Competitive Salary VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation who are looking to recruit an AI Project Manager to lead the delivery of AI-focused projects across the business.
The successful AI Project Manager will manage initiatives from initial planning through to implementation and adoption, working closely with technology, data, business, risk, compliance and third-party teams to ensure projects are effectively governed and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities of the AI Project
Manager: Manage AI projects from initial scoping through to delivery and handover.
Own project plans, budgets, milestones, resources, risks and dependencies.
Turn business requirements and AI opportunities into structured delivery plans.
Coordinate delivery across technical, business and third-party teams.
Oversee requirements, data readiness, testing, validation and implementation.
Drive business readiness, communications, training and user adoption.
Maintain effective governance, reporting and project controls.
Ensure AI risks around data, privacy, security and compliance are considered.
Lead workshops, steering groups and key project meetings.
Provide clear project updates and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Key Requirements of the AI Project
Manager: Minimum 3 years' Project Management experience across technology and business change.
Extensive experience within a legal or professional services environment.
Experience delivering AI, data, analytics, automation or digital transformation projects.
Good understanding of Generative AI, Machine Learning and intelligent automation.
Strong knowledge of project governance, RAID, budgets and change control.
Experience managing technology delivery alongside business change and adoption.
Good understanding of data quality, governance, privacy and security.
Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers.
Confident managing and influencing senior stakeholders.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
PRINCE2, PMQ, PMP or equivalent Project Management qualification.
Knowledge of AI governance or information security standards would be advantageous.
