VIQU have been approached by a customer who are seeking an IT Field Engineer contractor to provide additional BAU support across multiple client sites. This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel to various locations to provide onsite IT support, deployments, and break-fix services. The successful Field Engineer will have solid previous experience in IT Support within a Microsoft environment and will be committed to delivering excellent customer service. You must be comfortable travelling between sites and have previous experience working in a Field Engineer or mobile IT support role.
This role will involve travelling to multiple customer sites to provide onsite IT support, carrying out hardware deployments, installations, break-fix activities, and resolving 1st line technical issues. You will also manage and escalate support tickets where required and work closely with external clients, so excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach are essential.
Key skills responsibilities for the Field Engineer:
- Previous experience working as a Field Engineer or in a mobile IT support role
- Strong IT support experience within a Windows / Microsoft environment, including:
- SharePoint
- Windows 10/11
- Office 365
- Active Directory
- Azure
