We are currently recruiting for two experienced Power Fence Installers to join a specialist security and access control engineering team working across critical national infrastructure sites throughout the UK. These are field-based roles supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical security systems across a wide range of high-security environments including utilities, energy, telecommunications, water, and defence infrastructure.
The roles are UK-wide due to national contract coverage, therefore candidates must be comfortable with regular travel. These positions would ideally suit engineers based centrally to support efficient nationwide coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical team working on complex and secure infrastructure projects, offering long-term stability and progression.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation and testing of electrical power fence systems
- Installation and integration of CCTV and access control systems
- Fault diagnosis and repair of electrical security systems
- Working on critical infrastructure sites including substations, power stations, telecoms sites, water facilities, and MOD environments
- Liaising with clients, site teams, architects, and project managers
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and in line with specification
- Supporting commissioning and system handover activities
- Completion of site documentation, asset tagging, and reporting
- Managing van stock and equipment requirements
- Supporting wider engineering teams where required
- Strong electrical installation and fault-finding experience
- Background in security systems, power fencing, CCTV, or access control
- Ability to use test equipment including digital multimeters
- Comfortable working in high-security and regulated environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a field-based team
- Good communication skills when working with clients and site stakeholders
- Basic IT literacy for reporting and documentation
- Experience with Gallagher systems or similar platforms
- Background in utilities, infrastructure, or critical security sectors
- Experience supporting commissioning or training activities
These are UK-wide roles due to national contract requirements, with regular travel expected. Ideally, candidates will be centrally based for operational efficiency.
