Engineering Manager – 12-Month Contract – Inside IR35 – Reading – SC Cleared VIQU have partnered with a leading consultancy who deliver critical projects in energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing, with this role being part of the Nuclear team. The role: Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager to support the delivery of Electrical Control Systems on a nuclear site. This role will involve managing a team of Engineers, as well as working closely with Project Management and key stakeholders to support the delivery of the project. Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager: Lead engineering efforts on the project and serve as the main contact for all engineering matters. Ensure project quality, compliance, safety, budget, and schedule requirements are met. Oversee project design from initiation to handover. Liaison between Project Management and Technical teams. Key skills & experience for the Engineering Manager: Experience managing multi-disciplinary design packages in regulated environments (preferably nuclear). Background in electrical engineering / ECI & I, and ability to support electrical installation / test / commissioning activities. Ability to write technical specifications. Good people management skills – this includes in-house teams and external suppliers. Excellent stakeholder management and communication. Able to deliver design within a Nuclear Site Licence, and experience working within commercial frameworks. Experience in working to requirements of CDM 2015.
