NHS Project Manager – 3 Month Contract – London (South)

VIQU have partnered with an NHS client who are seeking an experienced NHS Project Manager to support the delivery of a key Information Governance improvement programme.

The role

The successful NHS Project Manager will lead an FOI remediation and improvement project, focused on reducing legacy FOI requests, improving FOI performance, and strengthening records management processes across the Trust.

The NHS Project Manager role will involve working closely with stakeholders across directorates to ensure compliance with Freedom of Information requirements and drive service improvements.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Delivering complex public sector or NHS projects to agreed timelines and objectives.
  • Create, manage, and monitor an FOI Improvement Plan and drive continuous service improvement.
  • Oversee outstanding FOI requests and support directorates in reducing backlogs.
  • Produce FOI performance reports and provide updates to Trust governance groups.
  • Review and enhance FOI record management processes and controls.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with Directorate Leads, Information Governance teams, and external requesters to resolve outstanding requests.
  • Monitor project risks and ensure delivery remains aligned to Trust objectives.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience delivering digital, Information Governance, or transformation projects within the public sector.
  • Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience producing governance reports and project documentation.
