Key Responsibilities
- Set and lead the technical strategy for HV design and engineering functions, aligning delivery with commercial objectives.
- Hold accountability for the approval and assurance of HV network designs in line with industry and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and framework obligations across design activities.
- Act as a senior technical authority when engaging with clients, network operators, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Drive improvements in design efficiency, quality, and innovation across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are consistently upheld.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
- Develop, mentor, and lead technical managers and engineers, building depth, resilience, and succession.

Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in senior technical or design leadership roles within HV electricity networks (11kVβ132kV).
- Strong working knowledge of NERS, ENA standards, and HV network compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a commercially driven environment.
- Confident managing multiple complex workstreams and competing priorities.
- Strong client-facing capability with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Commercially minded, able to align technical governance with business performance.
