A leading organisation within the UK multi-utility and infrastructure sector is seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of utility connection projects across residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This role will focus on overseeing on-site operations, managing project delivery, and coordinating resources to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, commercial, and technical expectations.

Working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards within a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will play a key role in driving productivity, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring all operational activities are aligned with industry regulations, business objectives, and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage on-site operational delivery across multiple utility and infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee project programmes, ensuring works are completed in line with client expectations and agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate operational teams, subcontractors, and third-party providers to support project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Review project documentation including design packs, estimates, and scheme requirements.
  • Attend handover meetings, pre-start meetings, and client progress discussions.
  • Ensure construction and compliance documentation is completed accurately and submitted in line with industry standards.
  • Manage procurement and coordination of materials required for project delivery.
  • Support project performance reviews and contribute to operational improvements across the business.
  • Monitor project commercial performance, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with legislative, industry, and company health & safety standards.
  • Support and mentor operational teams where required to ensure high-quality project delivery.
About You:

You are an experienced Project Manager with a background within utilities, infrastructure, construction, or related industries, and are confident managing on-site operational delivery within fast-moving project environments. You enjoy working collaboratively with operational and commercial teams, helping to coordinate project activities and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You are organised, commercially aware, and comfortable managing multiple projects whilst maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience managing utility, infrastructure, or construction-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of on-site operational delivery and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and industry compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client communication experience.
  • Commercial awareness with experience monitoring project budgets or financial performance.
  • Ability to communicate operational or technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
Desirable:
  • Experience within multi-utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Understanding of utility connections, asset adopters, or ICP environments.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and third-party works.
  • Background within utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure project delivery.
