A leading organisation within the UK energy sector is seeking a Contracts Manager to support the successful delivery of transformer and electrical infrastructure projects across the UK. This role will focus on overseeing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from order through to completion. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, commercial targets, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of contracts following handover from Sales, ensuring alignment with agreed terms and delivery requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on all contractual and commercial matters.
- Coordinate internal teams including Engineering, Procurement, Production, Finance, and Service functions to meet project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks, delays, or variances and implementing solutions.
- Manage key project deliverables including technical documentation, schedules, and approvals.
- Support planning activities, including timelines, milestones, and status reporting.
- Oversee contract documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and version control.
- Track project variations, changes in scope, and associated commercial impacts.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Organise and lead meetings, including progress reviews and project updates.
- Support invoicing processes by ensuring all required documentation is in place.
- Work closely with Finance to track revenue, costs, and project performance.
- Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and reporting across contracts and projects.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in contract management or key account management within the energy or utilities sector.
- Understanding of infrastructure projects, ideally within electrical or transformer environments.
- Strong knowledge of commercial processes, contract administration, and project coordination.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant systems (e.g. CRM or contract management tools).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
