An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a leading organisation operating within the UK energy and utilities sector. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving Health, Safety and Environmental performance across a growing business involved in infrastructure development, construction and asset management. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping HSE strategy, strengthening governance frameworks and embedding a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the company's HSE strategy.
- Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Oversee HSE governance, assurance programmes, audits and reporting.
- Provide expert guidance on electrical safety, construction safety and environmental management.
- Support contractor management, site assurance activities and risk control processes.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operational, engineering and leadership teams to drive positive HSE outcomes.
About You
- Significant HSE leadership experience within the energy, utilities, power, DNO/IDNO or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations and high-voltage electrical safety.
- Experience supporting construction, operational and asset management environments.
- Chartered IOSH status, or working towards it (preferred).
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and promote a positive safety culture.
