We are looking for a Business Development Manager in the energy industry to expand the commercial client base, identify opportunities for new business and close deals to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Acquire mid-market and commercial accounts, covering both electricity and gas customers.
- Create and enable innovative ways to generate leads, discover potential clients and opportunities before converting to sales.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and pre-sales support.
- Build initial relationships with new customers/prospects.
- Help to plan sales campaigns.
Experience / Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a confident approach to sales.
- Experience in negotiating and selling products and contracts.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a creative approach to selling and developing new business.
- Energy industry experience would be advantageous but isn’t necessary to be successful in the role.
Location: London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 with £80k+ OTE
