An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital and IT team of a major UK infrastructure organisation at a pivotal stage in its development. The business is delivering one of the country’s most significant and complex energy projects and this is your chance to be a part of it.
About the Role
As Business Architect Lead, you will establish and lead the business architecture capability across the organisation. You will ensure strategic objectives are translated into coherent operating models, business capabilities, processes, and transformation roadmaps. You will lead a specialist team and work across multiple disciplines including engineering, design, procurement, safety, regulation, and operations. A key part of your role will be ensuring business change is integrated, strategically aligned, and delivers measurable value while meeting stringent regulatory requirements.
About You
- Significant experience in business architecture or enterprise transformation within large, complex, highly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, energy, infrastructure, defence).
- Strong hands‑on expertise in architecture frameworks, capability modelling, value stream mapping, and operating model design.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders in complex organisations.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional alignment and managing interdependencies at scale.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex architecture concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to link capability investment to value, cost, schedule, and risk outcomes.
