HR Business Partner 12 month Fixed Term Contract Milton Keynes (Hybrid Working, 2 days/week in office) Full-time

We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the UK energy sector that delivers specialist infrastructure and network solutions to customers across the country. Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to support leaders and help drive high‑performing teams across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining strategic business partnering with hands‑on operational HR support in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.

The Role

  • Partnering with leaders to align people plans with business goals.
  • Coaching managers on performance, leadership and employee relations matters.
  • Managing complex ER cases including conduct, grievance, attendance and capability.
  • Supporting organisational change, restructures and workforce planning.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Using people data and insight to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Supporting HR reporting, payroll processes and HRIS administration.
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

  • We’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and provide pragmatic HR guidance across the employee lifecycle.
  • You’ll bring CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience.
  • Proven experience in a Business Partner or People Partner role.
  • Strong employee relations and organisational change experience.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience with HR systems, reporting and payroll‑related processes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
