Design Manager – Nationwide (Hybrid working available) Our client is seeking a Design Manager to lead and expand their EHV/HV design team within their ICP division. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient electrical distribution designs, focusing on 33kV to 132kV, for a variety of projects, including data centres and renewable energy schemes. The successful candidate will drive design quality, ensure swift project turnarounds, and foster strong client relationships. Responsibilities: * Develop a high-performing design team for EHV/HV projects. * Create preliminary and detailed engineering designs (33kV – 132kV). * Coordinate with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) for design approvals. * Guide clients through the design process, managing expectations and requirements. * Prepare accurate project cost estimates and technical reports. * Lead technical procurement efforts and obtain quotes for major items. * Mentor junior team members and uphold quality standards in design outputs. Experience: * Demonstrated experience in Electrical Distribution Design, preferably up to 132kV, or specialised experience in HV (33kV and above). * Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Windebut) and power system tools (ERACS). * Degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline; a BS7671 certification is advantageous.
