We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support a Finance team following a major systems migration. This role will focus on validating and embedding a new Gross Margin Report that underpins revenue recognition, industry cost accuracy and customer profitability.
Working closely with Finance, IT and a software development partner, you will test and validate revenue, cost and billing data, investigate variances, and ensure the reporting is robust, auditable and ready for use.
Key responsibilities
- Test and validate cost, revenue and billing lines within the Gross Margin Report
- Identify, track and resolve calculation and data issues
- Reconcile reporting to external industry cost and settlement data
- Investigate root causes of variances
- Document all testing and controls for audit and governance
- Support wider finance initiatives including month-end and process improvement
