We are currently recruiting an experienced Stonemason / Bricklayer for a 12 week project in the BA5 3LB area. The role involves a mix of natural stone work, bricklaying and restoration tasks, working on a quality construction project. Immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high quality stonework, including cutting, shaping, dressing and laying stone.
- Complete bricklaying and blockwork to site specifications.
- Perform restoration tasks, including repointing and repairs to stone and brick structures.
- Work from drawings, plans and instructions from site management.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety.
- Communicate effectively with site teams and work independently when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Stonemason, Bricklayer, or General Mason.
- Skilled with natural stone, lime mortars, brickwork and blockwork.
- CSCS Card Skilled Worker/Blue preferred, but experienced workers with the right background considered.
- Full set of masonry tools.
- PPE and ability to start immediately.
Desirable (Not Essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Stonemasonry or Bricklaying.
- Heritage / restoration project experience.
- Lime mortar experience.
- SSSTS, First Aid or other site certifications.
- Own transport due to location.
