The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to oversee water mains renewal and infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure background who enjoys leading teams, driving project delivery, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Manage and coordinate operational teams and subcontractors.
- Plan and organise labour, plant, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
- Support commercial teams with resource and cost management.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice across projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction or utilities environments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and utility plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Essential Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Water Hygiene.
- NRSWA Unit 10 (or equivalent).
- Cable Avoidance / Safe Digging.
- First Aid.
- Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Desirable Qualifications
- Temporary Works Supervisor.
- Slinger/Signaller.
- NPORS Traffic Marshal/Banksman.
