We are seeking experienced Confined Space Operatives to support the installation of 600mm pipework on water infrastructure sites. The successful candidates will be confident working in confined spaces, assisting with pipe installation, and adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards. This is a hands-on role requiring practical experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely within confined spaces in accordance with regulations and permits
- Assist with the installation and alignment of 600mm pipework
- Support excavation, connection, and fitting of pipes on water treatment or utility sites
- Use hand tools and basic power tools confidently and safely
- Follow method statements and risk assessments at all times
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing pipe sections
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Monitor and report any safety concerns or site hazards
Requirements
- Valid Confined Space Certification (e.g. Medium or High Risk)
- Proven experience working in confined spaces on construction or water sites
- Experience assisting with pipework installations (preferably large diameter e.g. 600mm)
- Competent using hand tools and basic site equipment
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
