The Role
We are looking for an Interim HR Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day people operations of our business. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will oversee core HR processes including employee relations, performance management, recruitment support and policy implementation. You will ensure compliance with employment legislation, support organisational change initiatives and provide trusted HR guidance to managers across the business. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a positive employee experience, strengthening people governance and supporting strategic people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing a comprehensive HR service which ensures that managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high-performance culture.
- Assist with the management of the overall HR operations and support the delivery of HR strategic objectives alongside the Head of HR.
- To ensure compliance with employment law and support and advise all managers in how to resolve issues related to their employees.
- Manage/develop and lead training sessions for line managers.
- To support the company's employees in all aspects of employment and welfare at work.
- Manage, in conjunction with hiring managers, the recruitment, selection, and retention of staff.
- Provide monthly HR report of activities to the Head of HR which includes the tracking HR metrics, such as turnover rates, recruitment costs, time to hire, and employee satisfaction levels.
- To provide leadership to the HR team, ensuring they are supported and developed.
- Oversee and support payroll.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or to be able to demonstrate relevant experience
- CIPD qualification and membership
- Experience in developing and supporting line managers, including creating and delivering training
- Knowledge of employment legislation and its application
Desirable, but not essential:
- Experience in engineering, subsea, oil & gas, rail, or similarly regulated/technical sectors.
