We’re passionate about giving clothes a second life through creativity, craftsmanship, and culture. Our VT Rework line is designed and produced in our North London studio and celebrates individuality, sustainability, and style. We’re expanding across Europe and growing fast. The Role
You’ll lead HR operations and people strategy across the business from head office to studio to retail. You’ll make sure Vintage Threads remains an inspiring, inclusive, and well-run place to work as we scale. It will be a 1 day a week role.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent & Recruitment
- Develop and manage recruitment processes for stores, studio, and HQ roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure every hire aligns with company values.
- Build a strong employer brand and candidate experience.
- People Development
- Design onboarding and training programmes that reflect Vintage Threads culture.
- Create clear performance review and progression frameworks.
- Support managers in developing high-performing teams.
- Culture & Engagement
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and creative work culture.
- Plan team-building initiatives, recognition schemes, and social events.
- Conduct engagement surveys and follow up with real action plans.
- HR Operations
- Manage policies, contracts, and compliance with UK employment law.
- Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration, and holiday tracking.
- Handle employee relations and performance management fairly and confidentially.
- Strategic Projects
- Support leadership with organisation design, retention, and diversity initiatives.
- Implement systems and tools to streamline HR workflows as we grow.
- Help prepare HR insights and reports for investors and board meetings.
About You
You’ve got 3+ years in an HR or People Ops role, ideally in retail, fashion, or creative industries. You’re hands-on, approachable, and thrive in a fast-paced, growing company. You know how to balance compliance with culture — process without red tape. You’re passionate about sustainability, creativity, and people.
