As a Trainee Appraiser, you will be responsible for evaluating customers' items daily, working alongside specialists and your team leader to make well-informed decisions. You will develop expertise across a diverse range of vintage and antique items while striving to meet and exceed key performance targets. This is a role where continuous learning is essential; each day brings new and unique items, making every appraisal a valuable learning opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and accurately value a variety of vintage and antique items.
  • Work closely with specialists to refine appraisal techniques and knowledge.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy to meet quality control standards.
  • Ensure efficient processing of customer boxes in line with department KPIs.
  • Support the continuous improvement of appraisal processes and customer satisfaction.

Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning about vintage and antique items. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A methodical and analytical approach to decision-making. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Previous experience in valuation, appraisals, or a related field is beneficial but not required; full training is provided.

Shift Details

The working hours are 4pm to 10pm. Working days are Monday to Friday.
