Description
- Get familiar with VCC’s current platforms, user touchpoints, and design ecosystem.
- Build strong relationships with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and user needs.
- Review current customer workflows and performance data to identify friction points and areas for improvement.
- Run user research, market analysis, and usability testing to shape opportunities.
- Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and flows that inform product direction.
- Lead design sprints and facilitate feedback loops with users and stakeholders.
- Evolve and maintain our design system for visual and functional consistency.
- Own the end-to-end design process across web and mobile products.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure smooth design implementation.
- Promote accessibility, responsiveness, and performance in all experiences.
- Stay ahead of trends, tools, and emerging technologies (including AI).
- Advocate for design excellence across agile ceremonies and team rituals.
- Deliver seamless, accessible and on brand user experiences across web and mobile.
- Champion a data-informed design process that supports customer satisfaction and conversion goals.
- Drive alignment between product and engineering to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality features.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the user experience for customer-facing products across their entire lifecycle, from discovery to retirement.
- Translate research insights, business goals, and technical constraints into user-centric design solutions.
- Develop low- and high-fidelity prototypes to explore and validate design directions.
- Conduct user testing, interviews, and surveys to uncover insights and iterate on solutions.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and fidelity through QA and launch.
- Define, maintain, and evolve the design system, contributing to a consistent and scalable UI/UX language.
- Present your work confidently to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, articulating design decisions and expected outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3+ years in Product or UX/UI Design with a strong portfolio.
- Experience designing for web, mobile, and responsive environments.
- Skilled in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
- Proficient in research methods: interviews, testing, surveys, etc.
- Able to simplify complex problems into clear, usable designs.
- Familiar with A/B testing, experimentation, and data-informed decisions.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and handoff best practices (coding a plus).
- Comfortable working in agile, start-up, or scale-up environments.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for accessibility, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
