About the role:
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Merchandiser to help take our product planning and stock management to the next level. You’ll play a key role in reviewing and managing line performance, driving stock flow into and out of the warehouse, and ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time.
This isn’t a visual merchandiser role, it’s a hands on, commercial role suited to someone from a jewellery or fashion background who thrives on data, process, and supplier engagement. You’ll influence purchasing decisions, propose promotional activity, and support business reviews.

- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, representing Vintage Cash Cow with professionalism and commercial insight.
- Keep all activity aligned to the department critical path, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.

- Ensure optimal stock levels and smooth product flow to meet business targets.
- Drive performance through accurate forecasting, reporting, and planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the development of Allocators and contribute to a culture of growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage line performance, stock levels, and ordering.
- Manage stock orders into and out of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Propose promotional activity and document plans within department budgets.
- Prepare reports and analysis for product sign‑offs, business reviews, and ad hoc requests.
- Ensure Open to Buy authorisation documentation is accurately completed and approved.
- Assist in planning sales, discounts, and stock levels at required thresholds.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers and take part in supplier meetings.
- Supervise workload and support the training and development of Allocator(s).
- Ensure all tasks align with and support the department critical path.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Proven experience in merchandising within jewellery or fashion.
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on stock management and supplier engagement.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Confident with systems and data, with strong administrative and IT skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Collaborative approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is desirable.
