Description

Package: £60,000 pa with an uncapped OTE of £75,000 pa plus a company car

Hours: 5 days working over a Monday – Saturday period to cover our opening hours of 0830 – 1800

The Role

As our Used Car Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of the strategy, performance and success of our Used Car operation. This is your opportunity to shape direction, inspire your team and deliver an outstanding customer experience within one of the UK’s most respected BMW retailer groups.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire

• Motivate and empower a team of talented sales professionals to exceed monthly and annual targets.
• Coach, mentor and develop individuals to unlock capability, confidence and consistent high performance.

Drive Performance

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the department’s commercial outcomes, ensuring strong performance through smart planning, effective processes and strong team alignment.

Your impact will include:

• Full Financial Control: Oversee budgets, forecasts and profitability to deliver sustainable performance.
• Stock Management: Make informed decisions on sourcing, evaluation and pricing to maintain a compelling product range and maximise margin.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless processes that support greater efficiency, higher conversion and a premium customer journey.
• Balanced Decision‑Making: Deliver commercial results without compromising on quality, integrity or customer satisfaction.

Deliver Outstanding Customer Experience

• Champion a seamless, customer‑first experience that supports volume, margin and retention.
• Handle escalated enquiries professionally while building lasting relationships that drive loyalty.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience leading a successful Used Car department within an automotive retail environment
• A strong track record of consistently hitting and exceeding department sales and profit targets.
• Experience managing stock profiles, pricing decisions and performance reporting at manager level.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, both with customers and internal teams.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical thinking and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.
• A proactive, positive and customer‑focused mindset with a drive to excel.
