KEY Responsibilities: The Group Compliance Manager is responsible for forming, overseeing and managing the compliance program within the organisation. This role ensures that the company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies, enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. The Group Compliance Manager will be the go-to person for all compliance-related issues, ensuring that the organisation operates within the legal framework and meets high ethical standards.

Key Tasks:

  • Develop and Implement Policies: Design and update internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure they align with current laws and regulations. Work to ensure that compliance is part of the culture within the organisation and is just 'what we do'. Treating customers fairly is part of who we are as an organisation and this should be engrained throughout the business.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor changes in regulatory environment and industry practices to ensure the organization is always ahead of compliance requirements.
  • Training and Education: Conduct or arrange regular training sessions for employees to enhance their understanding of compliance policies and legal obligations. Ensure all staff meet the required standards for training and qualification and that staff don’t carry out regulated activities.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance; develop risk management strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Advisory Role: Act as the primary advisor on all compliance-related matters, providing expert advice and guidance to the board and senior management.
  • Investigations: Lead investigations into compliance issues, ensuring thorough and fair processes are followed.
  • Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for all regulatory bodies and maintain a positive relationship with external auditors and legal advisors.

Prerequisites: Full UK driving licence required. Previous compliance skills required.
