About the Role:
As a Head of Business, you will be an integral member of the Management Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Deliver the overall business plan, ensuring both sites achieve agreed financial, operational, and customer performance targets.
- Identify and execute opportunities to increase revenue, profitability, customer retention, and market share.
- Drive sustainable growth across labour sales, parts turnover, service plans, retail maintenance, MOT activity, and value-added aftersales products.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and operational strategies to maximise performance and return on investment.
- Maintain a strong focus on cost control whilst protecting customer experience and operational standards.
Operational Management
- Provide leadership and direction across both the main service centre and Authorised Repairer operation.
- Ensure workshop utilisation, technician productivity, efficiency, and labour sales are maximised.
- Drive best practice in service, parts, workshop, and customer-facing operations.
- Monitor and improve key operational metrics, implementing action plans where performance falls below target.
- Ensure effective capacity planning, resource allocation, and succession planning across both sites.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a Head of Business role (or equivalent) within the automotive industry; extensive experience in aftersales is preferrable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively build relationships
- Demonstrable success in achieving team and departmental targets
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to efficiently meet deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working within a franchised automotive dealership or with a Volkswagen Audi Group Brand
