Responsibilities
- To work on the technical aspects of dosimetry, giving technical input and supervising technical issues.
- Advising clients on dosimetry.
- Database management for Approved Dosimetry Record Keeping Service (RKS) including updating of software and database as required.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR.
- Training and supervision of staff working with the RKS to cover database management.
- Advice, training and troubleshooting for database systems used for ordering dosemeters.
- Liaison and trouble‑shooting with supplier.
- Ensure the dosimetry services meet HSE requirements and comply with Statements of Service Management of database systems/software for External Dosimetry based on Electronic Dosemeters.
- Report to Team Leader, Dosimetry Service Manager or ADS Head.
- Organise own work, problem‑solve, adapt systems to resolve issues, advise other team members and work with the SADS team for resolution of issues relating to software for RKS and Electronic Dosimetry system.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years of experience or relevant degree at honours level.
- Role: Radiation Dosimetrist (Records Manager / Electronic Dosimetry Systems Manager).
- Understanding of relational databases.
- Understanding of SQL coding for data extraction.
- Fault finding in relational databases and SQL coding.
- Ability to direct programmers in fault resolution and database development.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases and associated products.
- Expertise in GDPR.
- Good understanding of data systems protection.
- Experience in an ADS Record Keeping Service with expertise on RADS part 3.
- Knowledge of RADS part 1.
- Ability to organise and plan the operation of data transfers and production of reports with members of the dosimetry team.
- Ensure data and system integrity.
