The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The candidate will lead the CE&I electrical systems design for SIXEP Cooling Towers and other local projects. The role involves producing and checking engineering deliverables to support design development through concept, preliminary and detail phases, and assisting during installation and commissioning design queries. The candidate will provide technical support to all aspects of CE&I engineering and require knowledge and experience in project delivery with experience of optioneering, front‑end design and detail design.
Responsibilities
- Lead and take responsibility for the delivery of the design aspects of the projects.
- Work with a small integrated design team to deliver design packages against milestones.
- Contribute to the production of multi‑discipline design documentation such as Project Requirement Documents, Basis of Design, Project Verification Plans, Quality Plans and Design Justification Reports.
- Determine project requirements independently.
- Review and check design documents and CE&I deliverables from a senior CE&I designer.
- Estimate hours for scope changes or additional works and outline supporting schedule for the discipline.
- Support and contribute to the delivery of Design Reviews.
- Produce reports and documentation to comply with CDM.
- Interface with Integrated Design Team, facility team (including systems engineering), and other project functions throughout all project phases.
- Manage design delivery teams.
- Ensure Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking compliance.
- Design Process Instrumentation, Electrical Power and Services at LV.
- Apply required deliverables and design process for each CE&I area.
- Deliver within the SL Management System.
- Estimate and schedule production and progress reporting.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications & Desirable Experience
- Experience in Programmable Electronic Systems.
- Experience in Radiometric Instrumentation.
