The Business Unit General Manager will have full responsibility for the operations of the Business Unit, including strategic and business development, financial performance, health and safety, project management and people development.
Strategic and Business Development
- Establish the strategy and marketing plan of the Business Unit, in association with the Managing Director and Business Unit Project Managers to successfully achieve the goals of the business.
- Control and execute the Business Unit's Shared Strategic Plan.
- Develop and implement new business development strategies and plans to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Organise sales and business development activity.
- Identify process improvements that improve efficiency and competitive edge.
- Assist the Project Managers in the sale, execution and management of their contracts.
- Review tenders submitted by Project Managers and validate bids up to the level of delegation.
- Present bids over delegation of authority to the Director for approval.
Financial Performance
- Consistently apply the principles of the company's business management system, Quartz.
- Define the Business Unit's annual budget in line with the strategy.
