Actemium M&E, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our team as a Junior SHEQ Advisor. If you are driven to help deliver high standards of safety, health, environment, and quality across engineering projects and want to develop your career within a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking business, we want to hear from you.
As a Junior SHEQ Advisor, you will support the development and delivery of Actemium M&E's SHEQ culture and management systems. Working closely with project and engineering teams, you will help embed compliance, share best practice, and foster a positive approach towards SHEQ standards across all areas of our operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and continual improvement of SHEQ management systems and initiatives in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
- Support site inspections, audits and investigations, preparing reports on compliance and areas for development.
- Promote a positive SHEQ culture, engaging with teams to improve awareness and understanding of safety and quality procedures.
- Assist in the delivery and documentation of SHEQ training and toolbox talks for operational staff.
- Help ensure all projects adhere to relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations and company policies.
- Record, report and follow up on incidents, near misses, environmental events and non-conformities.
- Support the review, completion and continuous update of SHEQ documentation, including risk assessments, method statements and environmental plans.
- Maintain and update the SHEQ records, including certification and training matrices.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience – SHEQ Compliance and Engineering Projects
- Keen interest in health, safety, environment, quality and compliance within the engineering, construction, or utilities sector.
- Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH, or willingness to work towards these).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable) as some travel will be required visiting various site and Business units.
