Vinci Facilities is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Defence sector team, supporting a wide portfolio of refurbishment and new-build projects across the MOD Estate.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key commercial role within a secure, mission-critical environment, delivering high-quality facilities solutions that directly support UK Defence infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide full commercial support across refurbishment, maintenance, and new-build projects.
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, valuations, and cost reports in line with contract requirements.
- Manage subcontract procurement, contract administration, and payments.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and MOD stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, governance, and Defence-sector protocols.
- Support final account preparation and negotiation.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, refurbishment, or facilities management.
- Experience working within Defence, secure environments, or public sector frameworks (desirable).
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across geographically dispersed sites.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional membership (RICS or working toward it) is an advantage.
- Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) – essential.
