Purpose of Role

Vinci Facilities, working in partnership with Shell, is seeking experienced and electrically qualified Multi-Skilled Engineers to support the maintenance and operation of high-powered EV charging infrastructure across the UK. This is a mobile role offering full manufacturer training on state-of-the-art 350kW electric vehicle charging systems, a competitive salary, and excellent work-life balance with paid travel time and structured on-call support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on Shell’s large-capacity (350kW) EV charging units.
  • Undertake general maintenance and minor repair works on Shell forecourt sites (e.g., lighting, door handles, small fixtures).
  • Participate in manufacturer-led and in-house EV charger training programs (UK and Italy).
  • Carry out electrical testing, fault-finding, and safety checks in line with Vinci and Shell standards.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting of maintenance tasks and completed work.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 6), attending breakdowns as required.
  • Travel across your allocated region (door-to-door pay included).

Essential Qualifications/Skills

  • Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds 2361 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent).
  • Ideally 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent experience.
  • Proven background as a mobile engineer in an FM or maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and high-voltage systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (van provided for work use).
  • Flexible to travel up to ~150 miles per day within allocated region.
  • Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
