We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Orpington, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across our site.
This is a key role within our operations, where you will oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical installations, responding to faults promptly and carrying out planned preventative work and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across the site.
- Replacing lamps and light fittings as needed.
- Changing ballasts and other lighting components.
- Inspecting and testing fire alarm systems.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Maintaining and repairing general electrical infrastructure.
- Supporting ventilation system maintenance (experience in this area is beneficial but not essential).
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- ECS Gold card
- C&G/NVQ Level 3 Electrical
- 18th Edition licence
- Healthcare and/or HTM experience is desirable
- Must live within an hour of site due to call‑out
