Purpose of Role
VINCI Facilities is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our Defence team based in High Wycombe.
This role will support the commercial delivery of a secure Defence contract, ensuring robust cost control, contract administration and commercial governance across facilities management, maintenance and project works.
Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance and delivering value for both VINCI Facilities and our customer.
Due to the nature of the contract, successful applicants must be Sole UK Nationals and willing and able to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of Defence FM, maintenance and project works.
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
- Manage contract cost control, forecasting and cash flow.
- Administer subcontractor accounts, including procurement, valuations and final accounts.
- Manage variations, change control procedures and compensation events.
- Produce accurate commercial reports and financial forecasts.
- Assist with risk and opportunity management across the contract portfolio.
- Ensure contractual compliance and adherence to company governance procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and commercial best practice.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of contract performance and financial targets.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Essential
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial role.
- Experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Building Services, Defence Infrastructure or Maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Membership of RICS or another relevant professional body.
- Experience working on Defence or Government contracts.
- Knowledge of lifecycle, minor works and planned maintenance programmes.
- Experience managing compensation events and contractual changes.
This position requires the successful candidate to be a Sole UK National and eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.
