The PR & Communication Officer will play a key part in enhancing our brand and reputation to both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for developing and delivering media campaigns and stories that help to grow our reputation and celebrate achievements across our businesses – inside and out.
Responsibilities- Create stories that jump off the page - delivering engaging and timely content; both written and visual, that reflects agreed tone of voice and messages, as consistent with our Communications Plans and Brand Strategies.
- Create and manage engaging content across various media platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns, to support communication goals.
- Executing actions from annual comms plans that support each shared service department.
- Work with Communications Managers to ensure that campaigns are consistent across all communications channels, as appropriate to the target audience.
- Develop and maintain a central Press Office function – being the main point of contact for external press, liaising with journalists, managers, and other media representatives.
- Managing a PR/media/campaign calendar to support proactive and timely communications and engagement, and managing media enquiries.
- Overseeing the daily media monitoring for all businesses, a monthly media report and support with responding to reactive media enquiries and crisis communications.
- PR or Marketing related degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing and communications.
- Strong Writing and Editing Skills - ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for various platforms, including high quality external press media communications.
- Ability to produce various types of content, including images, audio and video.
- Strong verbal communication skills including interviewing experience.
- Experience of developing communications plans.
- Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of analytics to inform campaigns, feed into strategy, drive engagement, and build connections across internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in using; Adobe Premier Pro, Canva, Vuelio.
