We’re currently recruiting an Assistant HR Advisor to join our Shared Services HR team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and reporting, and who is interested in developing their HR experience within a busy, fast-paced environment. This role has been created to support the team during a period of increased workload following the implementation of a new HR system and continued TUPE activity across the business.

Job Description

Working closely with HR Advisors and HR Business Partners, you’ll play a key role in supporting HR activity through accurate reporting, data management and administrative support. The role is not casework-heavy and instead focuses on systems, reporting and enabling the wider HR team to operate effectively. You’ll be based in our Watford office (opposite Watford Junction station), with hybrid working available once settled in the role (typically 3 days office / 2 days home).

Responsibilities

  • Producing and maintaining HR reports using Excel and reporting tools
  • Supporting TUPE data gathering and reporting processes
  • Working with HR systems (EHR initially, with potential SAP access)
  • Using tools such as Power BI to support management information
  • Assisting HR Advisors and Business Partners with data and reporting needs
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve reporting processes
  • Handling confidential data in line with GDPR requirements

Essential Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong administrative experience (HR admin helpful but not essential)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas essential)
  • Confidence working with large data sets and multiple systems
  • A detail-focused, methodical approach and good problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders
  • A positive, resilient attitude and willingness to learn

In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.
