VINCI Building require a skilled Carpenter/multi-skilled tradesperson to join our Aftercare Team responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing on mid to large building projects, ranging from hospital, student accommodation and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- To work within a small team of finishers.
- Have knowledge of finishing in carpentry, plasterwork, painting and other finishing trades.
- Roofing knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Site Preparation & Maintenance preferred but not essential.
- Able to interpret drawings, technical specifications and writing RAMS.
- Following Health & Safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and keeping the site tidy.
- Work alongside clients, managers, architects, and other trades (plumbers, electricians).
Job Requirements
- Experience: Site knowledge/snagging/post practical completion knowledge preferred.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry or equivalent relevant trade.
- Certifications: Valid relevant CSCS card required. IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, First Aid qualifications preferred but not essential as training will be provided. A knowledge of passive fire stopping/fire doors would be an advantage.
- Driving licence: A current driving licence is required.
- Transportation: Must have own transport.
- Skills: High level of finishing and problem solving.
- Physical: Reasonable level of fitness, capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Common Working Conditions
- Working on-site in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including during inclement weather.
- Full-time hours, typically 40 + overtime hours a week.
- Occasional weekends or evenings depending on project deadlines.
- After probationary period (3 months and suitable) a van will be provided.
