Position: Project Quality Advisor

Location: Birchwood, Warrington or Milton Park, Oxfordshire

Salary: £36,000 – £45,000 DOE

Purpose of the job

As our Quality Advisor, you will support Quality Leads within the business to ensure that quality requirements and improvements are identified and delivered effectively. You will also support the management of projects and contracts within the organisation to ensure adherence to procedures and maintenance of project quality requirements.

As part of the Project Management Office, the role reports to one of two Quality Managers but supports both Business and Project level quality requirements.

The Quality Advisor will report to

PE&D Quality Managers as part of the PE&D Project Management Office, working alongside all business line Quality Representatives and Project Teams.

Key Accountabilities for a Quality Advisor:

Support the Quality Leads to meet the requirements of the Project Quality Team and the Business Line Quality and Improvement Team. Deliver tasks and provide advice to ensure successful quality delivery across the business.

Develop understanding and knowledge of quality through support to the business and PMO team.

Project Quality Assurance:

  • Drafting and authorship of Quality Documentation
  • Support to Project Deliverables
  • Project LFE logging
  • Project LTR administration
  • Liaison with Sub-contractors and Clients
  • Support to Internal and Client Audits
  • KPI Data Collection

Corporate Quality Representation:

  • Support to Internal and External Audits
  • Governance Support
  • Company Systems Administration

Business Line Quality Support:

  • Data production for Business level KPIs
  • Support to Quality Communications, Processes, Procedures & Guidance
  • Support to LFE process and Stakeholder Feedback Data Collation
  • Process Improvement and Governance Support
  • Tender Support and Knowledge Management Administration

Business Improvement:

  • Continuous Improvement Administration
  • Lean / Six Sigma Support
  • Process Improvement and Cost of Non-Conformance Data Management
  • Change Management Support

Work scope may change to support business needs.

Occupational Skills and Knowledge

  • Relevant experience in Quality roles
  • Member of CQI or equivalent professional body

Duties and Requirements:

Experience in Quality & continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Stakeholder Feedback, Governance/Internal Audit, QMS/IMS development, and authoring Quality Management Plans.

Knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 8D), flexibility to travel, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the nuclear industry
  • Experience in highly regulated industries
  • Full UK driving license
