Omexom Nuclear Projects is the business unit of VINCI Energies Nuclear Activity dedicated to the International Nuclear Power Plant New-Built programmes. Omexom Nuclear Projects works hand-in-hand with its customer in delivering Electrical Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts as well as Electrical 'Design Only' work packages.

ONP's UK branch, ISDEL Energy Limited, is based in Aztek West in Bristol (UK). ONP has several other branches in France, near Paris, Lyon and Tours. Our UK branch is currently around 6 employees for a turnover of £1M where ONP is around 100 employees for turnover of £12M.

As part of the UK Nuclear Power Plant New-Built programmes, ONP delivers the General Plant Electrical Services Installation (IEG) Execution Design Contract for Hinkley Point C (HPC 1 & 2) Nuclear Power Plants. ONP prepares the 'replication' strategy of our HPC Design for the Sizewell C (SZC 1 & 2) Power Plants.

Due to growth, Omexom Nuclear Projects is looking for a Project Manager for the UK Market. The role will have two reporting lines:

  • Business Operations: Reporting directly to our UK Branch Operations Manager, for ONP and its UK branch administration, as well as business development, tender phases and management of opportunities.
  • Projects Operations: Once contracts, orders or variations are signed, reporting directly to the Project Direction.

YOUR FUTURE MISSIONS WITH US:

The role will focus on ONP's UK market, ongoing tenders, projects as well as future opportunities. The primary focus will be on dealing with the commercial activities on our HPC contract, maintaining and developing our external interface management to seek opportunities, and leading both our SZC current studies and the ongoing tender for the IEG main execution design scope.

Project and Delivery Management:

  • Shall manage the contract risks and opportunities, their mitigation, their valuation, and their escalation when required.
  • Shall deal with or support on, depending on circumstances, commercial acceptance of proposals and variations.
  • May oversee orders and work packages, this may include management of subcontractors.
  • Shall ensure efficiency of the contract change and configuration control.

Commercial Management:

  • Keep developing/improving Commercial Management Plans, Processes and Procedures, as well as challenging Plans, Processes and Procedures interfacing with the Commercial ones.
  • Provide commercial awareness, advice and support to all relevant ONP's stakeholders.
  • Shall lead and/or support, depending on when most relevant, contract and project negotiations.
  • Shall be the Commercial Single Point of Contact during PQQ, ITT or start of Contract phases.
  • Shall lead and/or support, depending on when most relevant, contract and project dispute prevention and dispute resolution.
  • Shall ensure both contract and subcontract are certified completed.

The role involves building strong relationships with clients and partners by understanding their needs and providing tailored technical or delivery solutions. Internally, the person will report on project progress and may lead or coordinate technical and commercial offers. They will work closely with departments such as project control, quality assurance, legal, purchasing, and finance.

YOUR PROFILE:

Candidates are required to have suitable qualifications and experiences of 5-10 years in the management or delivery of contracts and projects. They are collaborative, able to deal with both internal and external interfaces, able to understand difficulties and mitigating actions to efficiently resolve them. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong capability to deliver, and to lead or co-ordinate business or project members to achieve success.

    Travel requirement:

    The role is based in Bristol (Aztek West) but occasional travels within the UK and to ONP's other premises in France, and to customers and subcontractors will be required.
