Position – Issues Resolution Lead

Location – Aztec-West, Bristol

Travel – Required at the office in Bristol 3 days per week and 2 days remote.

We’re seeking an Issues Resolution Lead (also known as Technical Risk, Opportunities and Resolutions Lead) to oversee management of Sizewell C’s key engineering and technical risks, and to lead resolution of complex technical issues.

Role description of an Issues Resolution Lead

• Identify and engage with key stakeholders across various areas of the business, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective planning and mitigation of risks.

• Ensure alignment of mitigation actions, drive resolution of priority technical challenges, and report on progress.

• Support from a broad network within Sizewell C to identify emerging issues and lead their resolution, managing technical risks effectively.

• Act as a communication bridge between technical teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders for smooth operations.

• Facilitate clear communication to ensure a structured approach to risk resolution, engaging internal and external stakeholders.

• Report to the Head of Transverse Technical and the Technical ROR Manager.

• Champion alignment with Sizewell C’s strategy and ensure coordinated risk management.

• This role requires strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, technical expertise, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and requirements for an Issues Resolution Engineer

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and reporting risk positions.

• Proven problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

• Experience in large infrastructure projects.

• Background in civil or geotechnical engineering.

• Project management experience in relevant sectors.

• Understanding of Risk Management processes.

• Excellent communication skills in client and contractor interactions.

• Ability to work independently and be highly organized.

• Proficiency in IT skills.

Desirable skills for an Issues Resolution Engineer

• Experience in the civil nuclear industry.

• Existing network within Hinkley Point C or Sizewell C is advantageous.
