The Opportunity
In this dynamic role, you will work directly alongside experienced Tax Managers and Partners, gaining hands‑on exposure to both compliance and introductory advisory work. Managing a mixed portfolio spanning vibrant regional SMEs, owner‑managed businesses (OMBs), and larger corporate groups up to FTSE 100 entities, you will handle corporate computations, assist with director/HNW personal tax returns, and conduct technical research. Supported by a tailored personal development plan, this position offers a clear, structured pathway to step up to Tax Senior and beyond.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Experience & Qualifications: 1–2+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience in taxation. ATT qualified/studying, or ACA/ACCA/CTA part-qualified (or eager to commence CTA studies).
- Corporate & Personal Tax Technicals: Solid foundation in corporate tax compliance (75% role focus) alongside exposure to, or a strong desire to develop expertise in, personal tax computations and director compliance (25% role focus).
- Technical Research & Drafting: Ability to conduct technical research, analyze tax legislation, and draft practical client correspondence and report findings.
- Software & Communication: Proficient with specialist tax software and MS Office applications, backed by strong written and verbal communication skills for client liaison.
- Team Collaboration: Highly organized and proactive, with the capability to manage dual compliance deadlines across a varied client base.
