A major new vehicle preparation centre is coming to Portbury, and we're looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join the team from the start.
You'll be working in a brand-new, state-of-the-art preparation centre, with modern workshop technology, excellent facilities and a professional working environment.

The Role
As an MOT Tester, you'll carry out Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests, ensuring vehicles meet DVSA standards and are safe and roadworthy.
You'll also:
- Accurately assess vehicle roadworthiness and identify defects
- Complete MOT documentation and digital records
- Work closely with technicians to ensure failed vehicles are repaired and retested promptly
- Carry out vehicle health checks where required
- Identify additional repair requirements
- Ensure MOT testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Follow all DVSA, company and health & safety requirements
- Support the wider workshop and preparation teams
About You
You'll need:
- A current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification
- Previous MOT testing experience
- Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicles
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A full UK driving licence
