A successful independent estate agency in Southampton is looking for a Lettings Negotiator with some previous experience, to join its residential lettings team. This is a customer-focused role for someone with some previous knowledge of the lettings process and a genuine passion for property.
You will play an important role in generating new business, matching applicants with suitable properties and progressing lets through to completion, while delivering excellent customer service.
Candidates with previous lettings experience are preferred, although a more junior candidate with the right attitude and potential will also be considered. Valuation and listing experience would be advantageous, together with the confidence and professionalism to build strong relationships with landlords and tenants.

What you'll be doing (Key Responsibilities) as a Lettings Negotiator:
- Registering applicants, understanding their requirements and matching them with suitable properties
- Conducting property viewings and providing knowledgeable advice throughout the lettings process
- Negotiating offers and progressing agreed lets through to successful completion
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants to maximise business opportunities
- Generating new lettings instructions and contributing towards the growth of market share
- Providing a high level of customer service while maintaining accurate records and administration
What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience):
- Previous experience within residential lettings is preferred
- A good understanding of the residential lettings process, although training can be provided for a more junior candidate
- Previous valuations and listing experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills with a professional telephone manner
- Ambitious, self-motivated and keen to develop within the property industry
- Well presented, reliable and highly organised with a positive attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence essential with own car preferred
